2011 Coaching Change: Elgin Wildcats
Old Head Coach: Danny Lauve -- Leaving to be the offensive coordinator at 4A Galveston Ball. He had led the Wildcats to a 18-24 record with one playoff appearance (2008) during the last 4 years. Before coming to Elgin, he was the head coach at 3A Jasper where he went 44-21 over 5 years.
New Head Coach: Wade Griffin -- Was the defensive coordinator at 5A Georgetown last season. His other jobs have been recruitment coordinator for Navarro College (2008-2009), defensive coordinator at Round Rock Westwood (2006-2007), Head Coach Brookshire Royal (2005 9-2) and defensive coordinator at Brookshire Royal (2003-2004).
Team News: The Wildcats have had back to back 2-8 seasons.
