Coaching Changes — Arlington Lamar

Arlington Lamar has named Trent Fuller as their next head coach. He will try to replace coaching legend Eddy Peach who retired after leading the Vikings to a 310-123-6 record.

Peach has been the only head coach at Arlington Lamar since it opened in 1970 and built it into one of the states best programs. He is one of only nine Texas high school coaches to win 300 career games. The 310 wins puts him at #7 on the all time coaching wins list. He was the first though to win all his games in Class 5A. He is one of only two coaches to win 300 games at one program (the other is Charlie Johnston -- Childress). His teams qualified for the state playoffs 19 times.

Fuller comes in after being the offensive coordinator at Arlington Bowie where he has been for the last four seasons. Before that he has been an assistant at Colleyville Heritage and Coppell. Trent's Dad is Dave Fuller who is currently an assistant at Southlake Carroll. His brother is Mike Fuller who is now the head coach at Colleyville Heritage.

Lamar will be a member of District 4-5A along with Arlington, Arlington Bowie, Arlington Sam Houston, Arlington Martin, Fort Worth Paschal, North Crowley and Weatherford. The Vikings have had non-losing seasons 35 of the last 39 years but have been only 25-26 over the last 5 years.
